Our pasture-raised chicken thighs are a farm favorite for a reason! Produced with care and nourished by frequent moves to fresh green pasture, our chicken thighs are known for their juicy and moist meat, and incredible flavor and tenderness.
Cooking suggestions:
- Bake: Preheat your oven, season chicken thighs with your favorite spices or marinade, and place them on a baking sheet. Roast them until they turn golden brown, with crispy skin and juicy meat.
- Pan-Fried: Heat a skillet with a touch of oil, butter, or pork lard (available to VA customers only) over medium-high heat. Season thighs and place them in the pan, skin-side down. Sear them until the skin is crispy and browned, then flip them and continue cooking until the meat is tender and fully cooked.
- Slow Cooker: Place chicken thighs in your slow cooker and add your choice of vegetables, herbs, and spices. Set it on low heat, and let the magic happen over several hours as the flavors meld together and the chicken becomes fall-off-the-bone tender.
- Grill: Fire up the BBQ and brush the chicken thighs with your preferred marinade or spice rub. Cook them over medium heat, turning occasionally until they are cooked through and have a tantalizing charred exterior.
Serving suggestions: We love to serve our chicken thighs with lots of different sauces and sides! Yogurt dips, raw honey, and homemade barbecue sauce are a few of our favorites. For sides: cole slaw, homemade sweet potato fries, baked mac & raw milk cheese, or steamed veggies.
Our chicken thighs are bone-in and come 2 thighs per package.
Food Fact!
Did you know that chicken wasn't a common household meat in America until the U.S. experienced beef and pork shortages during WWII, chicken nuggets were invented in the 1950s, and the American government (mistakenly) became fearful of dietary fat in the 1970s? Today it's #1! lol
