Éban’s Bakehouse was started in 2011 by two chefs, Eric Braddock and Adrienne Novak, both U.S. military veterans with 60+ years combined culinary experience.
Éban’s Bakehouse bakes gluten-free artisan breads and desserts from scratch using local, organic, non-GMO, certified gluten-free, and Kosher ingredients. All of their products are preservative-free.
Their unique recipes prove that giving up gluten no longer must mean sacrificing taste, texture, quality or variety. Their motto: No gluten. No regrets!
Edgewood Family Farms, our pastured egg partner, provides their hens with plenty of green pastures, fresh country air and sunshine (or rain!). The hens live in mobile or stationary shelters with frequently rotated pastures, and are fed a non-GMO grain mix that includes a special mineral pack and whole grains.
As wintry weather sets in and pastures become dormant, Edgewood Family Farms provides more shelter for their flocks and adds ground alfalfa to the hens’ diet.
They write, “We strive for fresh, nutritious eggs - because they are breakfast at our homes, too!”
Mountain Branch Creamery produces their cheese from their herd of grass-fed cows. They depend on high quality pasture as they feed their cows NO GRAIN. Their goal is to build healthy soils using diverse crops and controlled grazing. Their cows never receive rBGH or rBST growth hormones or GMO feeds.
We have worked out arrangements for a local farmer to produce lamb for our farm! Woohoo!
Janet and David and their family raise lambs on pasture at their family farm...which connects to ours. :) They are raising the lambs, and we are processing and selling the pastured lamb meat under the J&L Green Farm label.
These lambs live a peaceful life in grassy fields with plenty of fresh air and sunshine. They are given small amounts of grain to keep them trained and easy to handle, but the majority of their diet comes from the lush, green pastures where they are rotationally grazed (just like our beef cows are).
Saint Luke Farm is a low-tillage farm located in Woodstock, VA, which provides its members with “beyond organic” produce. They write:
"We have decided to not pursue costly organic certification, but we are completely transparent in our growing methods. With 20+ years of personal experience and 3 years of sold-out CSA completion, we understand what brings freshness to the table. We take organic growing standards to the next level by allowing beneficial insects and fabric low tunneling to handle pest problems. We promise never to use any chemicals or synthetic fertilizers, and we invest in organic seed wherever possible. Our soil amendments consist of compost and organic approved fertilizers. We truly believe in food being clean and fresh."
Located in Harrisonburg, Staff of Life Bread Company is a small, woman-owned microbakery specializing in European-inspired breads and buns with an American twist — including sourdoughs and levains, whole grains, non-GMO & unbromated flours, nuts, seeds, local ingredients, and organic options as available.
Their small-batch, artisanal breads are incomparably delicious, of the highest quality, and are some of the best loaves you will ever taste.

Whispering Wind is a local maple syrup producer right here in Shenandoah County, VA. Co-owners David and Angelica Meyer began their journey producing maple syrup as a hobby tapping just a few trees, but it has grown in the last eight years to be something more than just having enough for their family and friends.
Whispering Wind maple syrup is produced on a wood-fired evaporator and bottled in glass jugs so customers can see the beauty and purity of the product. This syrup has nothing added; absolutely NO preservatives or additives, and all the syrup from their homestead comes directly from their trees and is produced in small batches. David and Angelica are proud of what they produce and hope you love it as much as they do.
Whistle Creek Apiaries is a family-owned and operated business located in Rockbridge County, VA.
The honey produced by their bees is raw, natural, unrefined, and unprocessed, protecting beneficial enzymes and nutrients and preserving its singularly wonderful flavors.
The gentle treatment and unique blend of wildflower sources available to the bees at Whistle Creek means that no two batches of Whistle Creek honey are identical: the precise taste, color, complexity, and even sweetness of the honey depends on which wildflowers were in season when the honey was being produced.
Whistle Creek Apiaries has been thoughtfully collecting raw, natural honey since 1976.
